Paris and Boston, 12th of September 2019
We've been out-and-about over the summer, building the future of Buddy.
In Paris, we’ve continued the transition from the development phase to the mass production phase removing technical constraints. From pre-production robot testing to specifying optimized production technologies, from design adaptation to industrial tools implementation, our hardware team continues to buckle up to make Buddy as easy to build as possible. The software team 🤓 has not been left out. They have been working on the finalization of the "diagnosis" app to test all the features of Buddy, as well as the addition of a surprising new behavior in Buddy character; and the creation of the "Out-Of-Box ⭐ Welcome” application that will allow Buddy to guide you step-by-step during your first start-up at home and also throughout your first interactions with him. You will love it! So easy and fun to deploy Buddy in your life. In regards to The Buddy apps’ platform, we have made many visual and practical improvements to provide developers with an easy and productive experience during the development of their applications. The next release 0.5.9 which is scheduled for deployment at the end of the month will reveal many new options and solutions 👌. We hope these new developments will make Buddy’s skill developer community very happy 😄.
In our Paris office, we welcomed our new Chief Technical Officer Thierry Elbhar. With twenty years in the technological and mechatronic fields, leading complex electronic activities worldwide for household and automotive groups, from R&D to mass production, Thierry is ready to tackle the challenges of manufacturing the “first of its kind” Buddy 💪.
For our community, we have launched two new tools. The first is the forum my buddy world for our Buddy Community to join us, discuss the world’s first emotional robot and create with us. The objective is to deepen our conversation with Buddy’s fans and users. We trust the value of collaboration. Behind Buddy, there is a team of roboticists, engineers, and programmers that are eager to know more about our consumer's needs and are excited to work with them to create the perfect human/robot experience 👍 , 👎 , 🙌 , 🙏.
The second is Blue Frog Robotics website to present the strategy, the values, and all the information to become better acquainted with our company.
In Boston, we have opened our new wholly-owned subsidiary Blue Frog Robotics Inc. We are bringing Buddy to the North American Market. Blue Frog Robotics Inc will concentrate on delivering our innovative Buddy and his apps, in a timely matter, through more direct connections with its American and Canadian consumers. Boston is considered to be the “capital” of robotics in the United States. We are thrilled that Buddy will be supported by the Boston robotics ecosystem and some of the best consultants and technical minds in the United States. The head office is located in MassRobotics ❤️🤖 , the innovation hub for robotics and connected devices in the Boston Area. We are currently recruiting new talent and expect to welcome our first employees this autumn.
As we announced at the end of spring, we are launching our fundraising campaign. The fundraising campaign will support Blue Frog Robotics Inc.’s operations in North America. Available on fundable, the investment opportunity is open to individuals and companies. Overall despite the heat waves ☀️😎 in Paris and Boston, we have had a busy summer for Blue Frog Robotics and Buddy. Our goal remains unchanged, to bring the most flawless Buddy possible to your doorstep.

Robots for consumers is a new market. Some people think it is a tough one. But at Blue Frog Robotics, we believe it is a path of learning, understanding, and finding new ways to serve humans. we also think it is vital to always remember that sometimes to achieve extraordinary heights, you need to have patience, passion, and trust in the future. Especially when you build the future. Buddy is the future, let him better manage our lives, the space we live in, and make us smile.
We could not be more excited about what is ahead. We will continue to focus on improving Buddy for you, with you, as we set out on the next part of this incredible journey together.
